How to Communicate with Attendees
Email strategy, day-of logistics, and teaching attendees how to work your hosted buyer event like a pro.
Teach them how to work your event
Nobody knows how to work your audience like you do. Share that knowledge generously.
- Actively teach attendees how to "work" your event — ask your best buyers and sellers what they do and share those insights
- Some events host events the day before — tell attendees about them and suggest how to leverage them
- The best organizers hold hands and hop on calls with buyers and sellers before the show to make sure introductions go well
Email discipline
- Don't spam — the more emails you send, the fewer people will open
- Every unnecessary email reduces the impact of important ones
Day-of communications
- Send clear day-of info all in one email
- Subject line: easily searchable with the event name
- Body: Location, date, time, how to get there if it's tricky — no yapping
- Tell them how to opt out and why they are being recorded (if recording is applicable)
